Google exercises the 70/20/10 methodology for it’s employees. Two of Google’s employees decided to use that 20% time to develop a new feature for Google Reader. You can read the complete story here, but here’s my take on it.

The new feature released is the ability to publish a blogroll of the subscriptions you are currently reading.

Frankly, I’m surprised this was developed purely in the 20%er time, rather than being a primary focus feature.

This is a huge feature that I’m sure hundreds, if not thousands, of Google Reader users would love to have had a long time ago.

Dolapo, thank you. Even though I’m not a Google Reader user, I know it will make a huge difference in the Google Reader community. Great work!
