Google, Yahoo!, and Microsoft All Blocked in China

A thread on DigitalPoint pointed out today that Google, Yahoo!, and Microsoft are all being blocked in China right now. Using the GreatFirewallofChina.org website, I tested to see if this was true (since I’m in the US.)
Indeed, they are correct in reporting this. Google is blocked, Yahoo! is blocked, and Microsoft is blocked.
I understand that China has its differences on how it views search and what it allows, but honestly, that’s a little ridiculous to ban the top three major search engines.
Among these sites, some other sites that are known to be blocked are Flickr.com, FeedBurner.com, and Valleywag.com.
