Google Maps: “You can do it, we can help…confuse you.”

Doing some online research around New York today, I landed on a Google Maps page with some results. After looking around at the results, I noticed something very peculiar. Why was I getting results for a car service when I was searching for teeth whitening?

After some doing more browsing around the map in that area, I also noticed a listing for an optometrist. I really hope I’m not the only one that notices something very wrong here with Google Maps and how it returns results.

Let’s take a look at the actual results.

Google Maps, something very wrong.

So after taking a look at those results, it is beginning to make me think twice about continuing to use Google Maps as my mapping tool. If Google is going to waste my time by returning results that are completely irrelevant, I don’t see a point in even going to Google Maps anymore.
