Late last year, we saw that Google Apps is already working with eNom.com for new domain registrations. Google has now announced new partnerships with Name.com and DomainSite.com for new domain registrations. Google Apps is providing these domain registrars a provisioning API which will allow them to co-brand the registration process and seamlessly integrate and setup the Google Apps Premiere accounts for businesses.
Google is really trying to make this an easy process for new businesses. This new API which has been announced will let businesses sign-up and everything will be handled for them. New business owners will not need to deal with all the name servers, the DNS, nothing. It will work out of the box from the start.
Through this push, Google is really starting to target the web hosting biz and the domain registrar market to gain new partners. Google has already partnered with most of the major domain registrars, but they are aggressively trying to obtain even more partners to stream-line the process.
