Google Changes the Game with the Google Phone (gPhone)

“That kind of 24/7 advertising engagement–on a phone, no less–may sound like a nightmare. But what if you could determine the kinds of products you get pitched? Or, when your flight gets canceled in a faraway airport, text messages pop up for the best hotel deals in town? No random insurance ads or airline deals for trips to places you never visit. Best of all: Watch or read the custom ads, and your phone minutes are free.”

This short excerpt from Businessweek.com actually sparked an interest for me. So what if Google really could provide targeted advertising like that? Would it change the way the advertising world actually works? Would we slowly begin to stop getting all that wrongfully-targeted advertising that doesn’t even work?

Google has made it very clear that they want a piece of the mobile market, after lying about not being interested, the truth finally came out and now they are very serious about it.

Google is no longer just a search giant, they are far more than that.
