Google’s Enterprise edition is not frequented very much in the blogosphere primarily because it’s on a much higher level of hardware and software. Everyday users just want something that looks good and works. Today, we are going to step inside the interview with Adam to see how effectively they have been able to use the Google Enterprise platform for the SalesForce.com solution.

As previously discussed, Google and SalesForce.com created a unique partnership through the AdWords division of Google. This partnership allowed for SalesForce to act as a third-party AdWords vendor which in turn allowed SalesForce’s customers to buy directly through the SalesForce platform instead of having to go to another page. This was a huge move for SalesForce and its customers to create unity and integration between all the platforms.

Google Enterprise is an amazing combination of both hardware and software to create a custom solution for large companies. SalesForce is a great example of a large company that needs this kind of power. I couldn’t locate an exact number of how many customers SalesForce has, but I imagine it to be upwards of 30,000.

This interview steps inside the developer’s side of the house. Quite often, a developer is looking for a specific chunk of code or trying to figure out why something is breaking. It is critical for developers to be able to find that information quickly and efficiently. Google Enterprise steps in and is able to help SalesForce with their indexing and categorization of documents. The developer network under SalesForce is termed Force.com or the Apex Developer Network. This division has ample tools available for its clients and customers to utilize to get the most out of the SalesForce platform.
