Google’s Vice President of Google Enterprise has announced the secured acquisition of Postini, “…more than 100,000 businesses on Google Apps, 35,000 businesses and more than 10 million users of Postini…”
This acquisition is just another part of Google’s global strategy that we are seeing be formed to push office to the web. As previously seen already, Microsoft is becoming a little scared of what Google is trying to do.
Let’s take a look at what Postini can actually. So the reality of what Postini does is online security for businesses in the office realm; data security and protection, in short.
Google is spending some serious money to acquire these web office-type companies to put together their Google Apps.
