“Google may be preparing a new mobile platform, a would-be rival to the Nokia-dominated (NOK) Symbian OS, Microsoft’s (MSFT) Windows Mobile, mobile Linux, Palm (PALM), and other operating systems. ”
From the looks of it, Google Phone, termed gPhone, is definitely a future release of Google’s mobile division. Rumors were first heard of this “gPhone” back in early March 2007. Then a week later it was confirmed. Then just another week after that, they came out and denied any “new mobile phone” technology. This all happened in a 3 week period.
Six months later, more insider sources — this time reporting to Businessweek.com — are revealing even more news about the proposed gPhone that Google is expected to release in the near future.
There are still no gPhone images only mock-ups available for what the public thinks the gPhone may look like, but there are still no definitive press releases about the futuristic gPhone. There is still a lot to be said and announced for anything to be a solid source on the topic.
It’s still just a lot of rumors flying around and sparks flying across one screen to another.
