FeedBurner is being reported as blocked in China right now. This doesn’t come as much of a shock because anyone could gain access to a feed simply by setting up a FeedBurner feed in case the primary domain was being censored.

Here we have another example of the flux and reflux of China’s government try to being both capitalist and communist at the same time… Yes you can use the net, but only as we say!

Yeah, it’s a tricky market and area to play in. This gives me another great reason why I love living in the USA. I’ve visited dozens of countries and lived abroad in few during school, but I am very thankful that I live in the USA.
I don’t know how I could possibly cope with that kind of censorship on my life.

Jonathan,
I’m not a US citizen myself, UK actually, and I know the US prides itself in free speech etc. But, and I’m no conspiracy theorist, is there really no censorship in the USA? Of course there is, but sure not at the levels of China.
Not being an American, I always wondered what effect Watergate had on the whole privacy, censorship, Big Brother thing in the USA.
Care to enlighten me?

I’ve never really had any issue with it since it’s never taken place in the US, that I can tell. I’m sure there are certain things that are censored, even here in the US, but it’s not noticeable.
