Google released storage information recently about Google Accounts. Take a look at the screenshot below to see what I’m talking about.

You can also purchase upgrades now to be given more storage. Here are the rates they are offering right now.
- 6 GB @ $20.00/year
- 25 GB @ $75.00/year
- 100 GB @ $250.00/year
- 250 GB @ $500.00/year
When it comes down to it, these prices are pretty fair. For the amount that someone might be using Gmail or Picasa Web, this could really mean a lot to someone to spend just $20 for the year and get another 3.5 GB just Gmail. I personally only use about half a GB, as you can see above, so I don’t see myself needing to order anything in the near future.
It’s a great new plan that they are rolling out. It’s not like they are running short on storage capacity or anything, with their thousands of servers and custom modified file system.
