Google Joins the Open Source Network

Google is now offering a separate section dedicated to hosting projects. This Project Hosting is where Open Source projects can now be located. As always, it’s using a tagged system so you can easily sort, find, and locate what you’re looking for. Here’s an example search: http://code.google.com/host..n=Search+Projects, which searches for a popular distro of linux, ubuntu. You can find different projects going on right now that are related to ubuntu. The first project that comes up has some information and a link to its homepage. This next expansion of Google Code will be very helpful and resourceful to find things quickly and efficiently within the Google Code network.
