Adobe Web Bundle

I recently purchased the Adobe Web Bundle package. I am quite amazing by this product package. I was looking around for the Adobe CS Suite package and then realized that Adobe had acquired Macromedia not too long ago, so I went ahead and looked for the Macromedia Studio package.

Sure enough, I found the Studio 8 package. I bought the Macromedia Studio MX 2004 a few years ago and I was decently impressed by it. I’ve never been a fan of creating tables by hand; they simply do not interest me. So whenever I needed a table done, I would whip up Dreamweaver MX 2004 and get it done.

Another cool product was Fireworks MX 2004. I used this product mainly for exporting jpg files into HTML that I didn’t want to code. That’s not to say I didn’t care about how the code looked, it purely meant that I needed to get the job done quickly for a quick preview or something and I didn’t care how the code was written.

So I went ahead and purchased the Adobe Web Bundle. I’ve been quite happy with the products in the package so far. Something new that I had never seen before was the Version Cue.

Bring an end to confusing filename conventions and versioning nightmares with Version Cue® CS2, the intuitive file-version manager in Adobe® Creative Suite 2 software. Find files quickly using extensive search capabilities, create alternates to show as comps, and manage versions within Adobe Bridge. With Version Cue, the right file is always at hand.

Straight from the Adobe.com website, Version Cue is basically an easy file management product. I was checking it out on my desktop a little bit today and it’s pretty sweet. It comes with a built-in webserver that lets you manage users (seen below) and let other people on your network see your files. It’s a built-in groupware application into the Adobe Web Bundle package. This is great for group projects.

Adobe Illustrator CS2 was another product I was really needing. Something for vector-based graphic design instead of using the pixel-by-pixel methods of Photoshop CS2. Adobe Photoshop is a great product — I had an older version, so I truly love the upgrade.

The Adobe Web Bundle is truly a great buy. I highly recommend it for anyone involved with the web.

This is the start of what will be a series of product reviews too. Seems like this is a Google blog, but I do like to write about other topics — and I hope you enjoy them. And to be supportive and for me to want to continue writing these kinds of reviews, leave your comments below and I’ll continue writing.
