…this month, it improved its mobile Gmail client to allow quicker access to the application. At the same time, Google has been busy developing partnerships with mobile operators, such as Sprint Nextel and Cingular Wireless. It’s also been testing new business models, such as text-based mobile advertising, and more localised advertising. News.com

Google is giving mobile another shot with some more major partnerships. With their already-developed Gmail mobile java application they are trying to give it another go with the mobile platform. Google is making every effort to expand their verticle market.

The reach to consumers that Google has right now is mind blowing. With access to credit card numbers, social security numbers, bank account information, cell phones, home addresses, pictures, private information written on blogs, the list goes on, it’s incredible to see a company with that much power over the world.

I was thinking about this a few weeks ago and it’s amazing that Google could easily, in a moments notice, take over someone’s life and completely destroy it. This next expansion of Google will continue that progress.
