Google Answers has been an ongoing project of Google for four years now. It’s finally come time to shut down the service.
The internet company Google is shutting down Google Answers - its low-tech search service on which people answer queries about anything from shoe sizes to the meaning of life.
A statement said: “Google is a company fuelled by innovation, which to us means trying lots of new things all the time - and sometimes it means reconsidering our goals for a product.”
This will allow Google to focus all their efforts on other products and services. It seems that they were just not getting the response they wanted from the service so they felt like it was time to discontinue it.

It was inevitable… according to the official blog post, only 800 users constantly used it.

Yeah, with something only being used for less than a fraction of a percent of their users, it’s worthless to continue using it.
