Gmail and Docs Become Friends

Gmail and Docs become friends recently. When receiving an XLS file as an attachment, it offers an easy way to open it with Google Docs. This is the start of what we will soon see as service-wide integration of all the new products. The JotSpot acquisition, the Writely acquisition, and I’m sure we will have much more to come from these new “office” products. Google is trying to create a completely integrated system for users to make it easy to use.
They are doing just that and they are doing a great job of it.
