Google has new plans to establish a new research and development office in South Korea.

“Now we will have the chances to experience and learn Google’s advanced technology and know-how,” said Commerce Minister Chung Sye-kyun. “We hope Korea will become a global R&D hub.”

This doesn’t look like a small matter to Google. It looks as if they are planning on making this a huge investment in the R&D department.
