The Google Video Team got the call, they answered. What did the people want? They wanted to be able to upload videos, but make them private — sort of. Google Video has responded with the “unlisted” option that will now allow for people to upload videos and make them not searchable. This means you can only give your friends or family the link. It’s helping create a more sense of privacy for the entire community.

Unlisting videos is easy. All you have to do is check the “Unlisted” option when uploading your video(s) at http://video.google.com/videouploadform. You’ll then get a unique URL that you can email to anyone you want - and no one else.
