Since 2003 TakeABreak.com.au has enabled visitors from around the world to find and book accommodation across Australia. The site lists more than 30 types of accommodation and provides an online calendar for holiday makers to request dates up to 18 months in advance. The young company’s bookings grew tenfold in 2004 with revenue projected to increase another 50% in 2005. Rankings firm Hitwise places TakeABreak in the top 10 Australian travel and accommodation sites.
