This is just another tool to gear up consumers to be more in line with Google Base. Froogle was slowly faded away (which is sad, because I love Froogle) and Google Base is becoming the major player for Google to compete with. Google has already lined up new search lines under the main search area to link up to Google Base to make consumers more familiar with the interface.
