Jensense talks about it a little bit, but I’m fairly concerned with Google’s lack of care about how there is no protection of one’s publisher ID. Anyone can take someone’s publisher ID and use it on any website without Google actually knowing if it’s their site or not. This is rather disturbing, even though this is how it’s always been.
Google should spend the finances to setup some sort of protection, even if it’s small.

Anyone with basic knowledge of View–>Source has access to it, it is worrying at best.

Yeah, I wish Google would use some sort of encryption for it or have some “allowed website addresses” to be stated under every account. That way not just anyone can use your pub ID.
