Google Joins the Everyday Language

Nathan had some good points, but on some I will disagree. While he thinks the world is such in the physical realm still, I personally am still on that level of existance. I would Xerox this or FedEx that…heck, Newegg is FedEx’ing me some new RAM today and a completely new computer..so yeah, I’ll stick with FedEx’ing it. But anyway, back to the point of this article.

Google was recently added to the Oxford English dictionary as a verb. Heading over to Dictionary.com, you can see the various definitions for the word.

Definition: to search for information about a specific person through the Google search engine
Example: She googled her high school boyfriends.

Usage: googling n

As I have always used Google has a noun, verb, adjective, and every other way it could be used; Google has now officially become part of the English language — personal note: dang man, it’s about time!
