As many know, KinderStart.com sued Google quite a while back over having their website PageRank set to “zero”. This drop in traffic caused the company to lose a lot of money, therefore wanting to sue Google to gain that traffic back. As many also know, PageRank is given to most sites, not all. It takes a very bad site to not be indexed by Google or in the SERPs (Search Engine Result Pages). With the results of this case, the courts have started to sway to the side of Google because in the end, PageRank is really just an opinion and is in no way shape or form, a fact of life.
Often I will find a sale or purchase happening based on just a PageRank of a specific site, but when all is said and done, PageRank can go from 8 to 0 in the matter of a few months if it wants to. PageRank is something extra for the Search Engines and for sites. When Search Engine Optimization gets down to the bare bones, you just needs links, more links, and even more links, from quality sites that are trusted.
