I just noticed this, but I’m not exactly sure what it’s for yet….anyone else have some thoughts?

It seems Google is dropping the text links above the search form field. At flickr there are more screenshots.

I agree, It’s really kinda dumb I think. There’s no reason to have all that extra crap on there, they need to keep it simple, just how they’ve always had it.
